After
deciding on an Improved Design website, the next step
is discussion and planning, a free service to help us to understand
your needs and those of your prospective customers, and to agree
on the layout of your site, its style and colour, the page options
and the links between them. All
websites should include a home page, to stimulate visitor's interest
and to help them to navigate around your site. All other pages can
be of your choosing, and might include a description or catalogue
of your products or services, showing pictures or prices as appropriate,
and an opportunity for customers to ask questions, or to place orders
online. There are many other options, which we can suggest and discuss
at the site planning stage, and you will be pleased to discover that
we are fluent in real language as well as 'techno-speak'. All
the websites we produce will be created ourselves, using
the latest version of Macromedia Studio, including Dreamweaver. Using
these
industry standard design tools, we can add graphic
animation at no extra cost, but will generally do so sparingly -
style will encourage visitors to re-visit your website, but we never
forget that substance comes first.
Our
prices for design and production are based on the number of pages
you need - £90 for a basic
home page, and £70
for each additional page. Discounts are available for larger websites
with
pages having a common style. These prices apply to pages of up
to 250
words or the equivalent in words and images. If a small site
is
all you need to begin with, that is all you will have to buy.
More pages
can be added at a later date, once you are satisfied that your
investment in the web has been worthwhile. If
you have, or can produce, text that we can adapt as page content,
and images that we can scan, no charges for origination will apply.
If on the other hand you would like us to create copy we can do
so, at a charge of £30 per hour. We promise no surprises for
origination however - a firm quotation will be given at the free
planning stage.
